What this website does not do

This website sets no cookies, shows no advertising, embeds no third-party services and loads its fonts and scripts from its own domain or from our own servers. There is no contact form.

Page-view statistics (Umami)

We count page views with Umami, an open-source analytics tool running on our own infrastructure in Germany (t.encircle360.io). Umami works without cookies and without a persistent identifier: it processes the page visited, the referring page, browser and device type, screen size, language and the country derived from the IP address; the IP address itself is not stored. We use this to understand which content is read (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, legitimate interest in operating and improving the site). Because no data is stored on your device and the data cannot be attributed to you, no consent is required. Section 25 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) does not apply.

Session recordings (only with your consent)

If you agree in the privacy settings, Umami additionally records how you use the pages: clicks, scrolling, mouse movements and the pages visited in the session. Text you type is not recorded and there are no forms on this site. Recordings are stored on our own infrastructure in Germany and used to improve the site (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR; Section 25 (1) TDDDG). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via "Privacy settings" in the footer.

Storage of your choice

Your decision in the privacy settings is stored in the local storage of your browser for up to one year (Section 25 (2) TDDDG, technically required to remember the choice). It is never transmitted to us. Deleting your browser data removes it.

Server logs

When you visit this website, the web server processes the data your browser transmits: the requested page, date and time, the transferred amount of data, the referring page, your browser and operating system, and your IP address. This data is required to deliver the pages and to keep the service secure (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Access logs are kept only for as long as this purpose requires and are then deleted.

Hosting

The website is operated by encircle360 GmbH on infrastructure in Germany. No data is transferred to service providers outside the European Union.

Contact by email or Matrix

If you contact us by email or via Matrix, we process the data you provide in order to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). Messages are deleted once your request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods apply.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• obtain information about the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
• have inaccurate data rectified (Art. 16 GDPR) or data erased (Art. 17 GDPR),
• restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
• object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR),
• lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).
